Moving Big Boy (1)

One of the largest "pieces" of the Steamtown collection to move by rail from Vermont to it's new home in Scranton was UP "Big Boy" 4012. The move began on Nov. 13, 1984 and was handled ably by Guilford. The first day saw the 4012 make it as far as East Deerfield, and resumed it's westward trek the next day. The train is seen here passing the Brattleboro station site.

Photographed by BandAfan, November 13, 1984.
Added to the photo archive by Carl Weber Jr., February 27, 2006.
Railroad: Steamtown - VT.
