Approaching the City Point Trestle, two miles west of Belfast, ME

The City Point Trestle on the B&ML, which is located two miles West of Belfast, is seen here pproaching the guard rails at the East end of the trestle looking West. The site of the former City Point station was located on the left side of the track about a hundred yards beyond the far end of the trestle. While the station and freight house were torn down in the 1940's, City Point remained the first passenger stop on the line out of Belfast until 1956.
