View looking south from the railhead toward the summit just north of Alna Center. Three work crews are visible. The near crew is lining the last section of track built during the spring 2005 work weekend. Midway we see a crew working on a sag in the track over a culvert. In the distance, a third crew is unloading ballast from a newly arrived stone train with locomotive #10. Since this May 1st, 2005 photo, the railhead has moved several hundred feet north.
