A beautiful yet very quiet Saturday in June of 2003 was reaching evening as Guilford dispatched westbound EDRJ out of Deerfield. Within an hour, the westbound was tripping EOT in Charlemont, MA. Through soft rays in District 4, venerable SD26 #621 led four other EMDs and lots of paper past "the Rock" at MP408.
