Route of the Maine Eastern Special 'w' The Amtrak Downeaster?

After coming downtown to enjoy the warm weather I noticed both the signals and signal box had been removed from this crossing. As I walked up to investigate I was pleased to see two new signal bases with wires and a newer signal box! Maine Eastern has said that they will bring a passenger train to Augusta if the Amtrak Downeaster dedicates two trains a day to Brunswick. I guess they are not waiting to the last minute to upgrade the line and this line known as the "Lower Road" Might be the connection to Brunswick, Augusta, Portland, Boston, North/South and beyond. Not to mention a possible new rail station near the new Route 3 crossing:) This may someday become a newer route for the Downeaster Too! Happy Veterans Day 2009! POW-MIA & 9-11-01 We Will Not Forget!
