Light Engines At Springfield, MA

Light engines GP9 ST 52 (Maine Central heritage) and GP40 MEC 306 are seen chuggin' down the Conn. River Line at Springfield, MA. The engines came down from East Deerfield to pick up a caboose, combo passenger/baggage car, and an engine from the Berkshire Scenic Railway Museum. The train departed north around 3 PM. It was night-time by the time the train reached Northampton, MA. The train ran all the way to North Adams. BSRM is starting a branch operation on the old Adams Branch.
