Waterbury switcherAfter the New Haven's Alco S1s were retired, Penn Central always assigned an SW1 to Waterbury, CT, to switch the Dublin Street branch (the stub of the onetime branch to Meriden) where heavier locomotives were not allowed. Former NYC 8423 was assigned there a year into the Conrail era, around the time the Dublin Street line was abandoned.
