From the far eastern reaches of the VRS Family of Railroads, Here was the elusive New England Southern SW1500, GMTX 1505, stashed away under the I-93 North overpass in Tilton NH, on Thursday afternoon (2/10).

If there was a good place to keep 1505 out of the elements, it was here, as moments after taking this picture, and trudging back to my vehicle, very heavy rains started!

On the right is the Winnipesaukee River rec trail which follows along the tracks and the river into Tilton.

Up by the big BK Lounge sign, is where NH 140 meets US 3,NH 11, NH132 and I-93 Exit 20. Very busy crossroads to the Outlet Mall, Lakes Winnisquam & Winnipesaukee, The NH Motor Speedway in Loudon, and Downtown Tilton, home of the Legendary Tilton House of Pizza ! :)
