Island Pond, VermontThe excursion's power and steam generator car are cut off and moving into position for the run back to Portland. For a brief spell, the quiet community is returned to the bustle and vitality, which regularly surrounded important passenger trains to and from faraway places. The scene appears too every day normal to be repeated just once a year.
