Taking a break from the last WFPT Hoosac Tunnel Picnic of 2003, I ventured off on my mountain bike to follow the long abandoned Hoosac Tunnel & Wilmington's right of way north.

The right of way is open and passable by 2WD for most of its 2-3 miles ... until one reaches the perimeter of the Fife Brook Hydroelectric Station. There the right of way has been obliterated and fenced off.
