BAR Converted 70' Pulpwood rack to chip car

The Bangor & Aroostook, always frugal with money, has converted many obsolete 70' Paul Bunyan pulpwood cars to Chip service. They remove the center bunk, extend the end height, plate the floors and add new sides. These cars were photographed at Derby Shops, where the work is done.

Photographed by Brad Libby, May 27, 1999.
