Bad Track at Northumberland

End of the line for the AAPRCO special. This is the view looking towards Whitefield, from MP 5 on the NH&V. The AAPRCO had paid a fairly substantial amount of money to have work done to the track (note the fresh ballast), but an SLR sectionman that I talked to that morning, described the work as "camouflage". Evidently the Amtrak engineer agreed, deciding that he didn't want to risk his engines and train on such shakey track.
