Brake Gauge

This is a picture of my brake gauge. I use it to do brake tests before going on the road or after cars have been added or deleted from the train and the train is reassembled.

It is attached to the rear of the last car in the string and a 20# reduction is made. After ascertaining that the brakes are in operating order, angle cock is closed, the button on the gauge is pressed to release air pressure and the gauge is removed.
