South Yard - 3

As we can see, the South Yard at Essex isn't filled with the best looking equipment, but some relics have been known to have a resurrection. Unfortunetly, this one, ex-NH American Flyer coach #8341 isn't one of them. It continues to rust and rot away amongst the dead engines, tenders, and other assorted items. The 8341 is owned by the RMNE. They have two other American Flyer coaches but they're on the Army Siding in Old Saybrook and they are in the same shape, if not worse.

Photographed by Jay Hogan, March, 1998.
