Saybrook Station - March 1998

If it weren't for the concrete ties, you'd think this was a New Haven Railroad-era photo, but its not. Since this picture was taken, one of the tracks has been removed and replaced with a high level platform, the distant signal bridge has been replaced, and catenary blocks the view.

On the left is the abandoned North Main Street crossing. I'm not sure what year it was closed but even today you can see where it crossed the Shore Line.
