Mt. Washington CogThis was an unusually clear, sunny, and relatively calm day atop the summit. A far cry from conditions during the winter, when temps can hit -45F and wind chill factors of -100F or more occur. The summit of Mt. Washington also holds the world record for recorded wind speed at 231 mph, which occured in April, 1934.
