A visit to Middletown Ct.

Here's a look at Middletown Ct. when Connecticut Central ruled the roost.
The unit pictured had a history and a half,
Built by Alco in May of 1951 (serial # 78868) for New York Central and numbered 8246, it was renumbered to 5246 in 1966 and held that number through Penn Central. it went to Amtrak in 1976 as the 104. (see photo of it in New Haven I posted). In 1984 it was rebuilt. It then served as Shoreline Locomotive Co 6055 then sold to Conn Central as 1201.
It then went to the P&W as 120 and then back to Connecticut Central as the 1201 again. (am unsure of dates here, info seems confused)
Currently the unit is operating for the Cape Cod Central still numbered 1201
