A classic beauty.

Looking like it's fresh from its Worcester, MA Pullman-Standard builder, PCC 3265, magnificent in its original 1945 orange, creme, with maroon belt rail and silver roof, has just arrived from Mattapan. It is at Ashmont Station, the easternmost point on the "High Speed Line". This line is very reminiscent of a countrified line from the past in spite of the fact that it starts and ends within the City of Boston.

Photographed by Paul Joyce, April 9, 2000.
Added to the photo archive by Paul Joyce, May 25, 2006.
Railroad: MBTA.
