View South along the cleared ROW at the "Top of the Mountain"View is looking south along the cleared right-of-way in the location of the Top of the Mountain siding. When southbound trains doubled the climb up the grade from Route 218, the first half of the train would be left in the siding here while the crew returned northbound to pick up the rest of the train. Recently graded roadbed can be seen about 400-500 feet in the distance.
