looking northbound at the "Top of the Mountain"It's near the end of cutting for the day January 13th, 2007, and here is the view looking northbound. At the end of the day, cleared right-of-way extended about one half mile beyond the current end of rail, or about one mile north of Alna Center/Averill Road. So far this winter about 535 feet of right-of-way has been cleared. It will take two - three years of aggressive track building for the rails to reach this point.
