New Train for Aquidneck Island

Bob Andrews, operator of the Newport Dinner Train, oversees the offloading of the first of the Wilton Scenic Railway RDCs that has finally arrived at its new home in Portsmouth, RI.

Bob will be operating two of these cars as the 'Island Shuttle'. They will be offering alternative transportation along the West side of Aquidneck Island from Portsmouth to the depot in Newport.

These 'Budd' cars were formerly on the Wilton Scenic Railway.

The second RDC is currently in Davisville, RI awaiting its 'turn on the barge'.
