Ex-Boston & Maine Railroad RDC 6211

Former B&M Rail Diesel Car 6211 is usually accessible to the public on weekends when the adjacent Freight House is open.

This cosmetically restored car was built by the Budd Company for the Boston & Maine Railroad in 1955. It was retired from service circa 1980. Among the many other New England locales it traveled, #6211 operated on the Lexington Branch to Bedford in the 1960s and '70s.

Photographed by Friends Of Bedford Depot Park, Inc., June 15, 2009.
Added to the photo archive by James Shea, July 10, 2009.
Railroad: Boston & Maine.
