Looking toward CP Poughkeepsie

Riding Toward Hopewell in my HiRail Truck. The wood shack was used by the Bridge Watchman. Laid off during Penn Central days along with Tom Huestins Bridge Gang. There was a key hanging on a chain in the shack where he would clock in that he had crossed over after a train. A similar location on the Highland side had a different shaped key to prove he had crossed back. The clock was carried around his neck on a strap.

Photographed by W.C. Goff, 1970.
Added to the photo archive by William Goff, January 30, 2015.
Railroad: Penn Central.
