After hiking on Gore Mountain, my father and I return to the station in North Creek (after stopping for Moose Mud fudge) to find the S&NC's recently acquired F40's reversed to the south end of our train for the trip back to Saratoga. My first time on the S&NC, I was very thrilled with the ride. A day for firsts, it was also my first time in a dome car and the first time I've seen F40's in person. I highly recommend spending the extra for the dome car; the food and service is top notch. The maple glazed salmon I had on the journey back was excellent. I'm looking forward to returning in the fall for another round trip to North Creek.
