the original Springfield TerminalLong before the Guilford organization turned it into something very different, the Springfield Terminal Railway was a 6-mile electric interurban line connecting Springfield, VT, with the B&M Connecticut River Line at Charlestown, NH. A B&M subsidiary, it dieselized in 1956 with GE 44-Tonner #1, which would be the line's sole motive power for the next 20+ years. Here #1 poses while switching in Springfield.
