Mystery photo

I need some help on location of this photo. I believe it is line to Leominster or Lowell, not too far north of Framingham. Unit is a PC SW-1500.
<BR> Update 3/29/17: I found a photo of PC 9520 with a "Tennaco" hopper and box taken Newton Upper Falls, MA 4/1972. So I believe this photo is same train westbound crossing the Charles River. Photo taken from Needham side of river.

Photographed by Bruce Nelson, 1972.
Added to the photo archive by Bruce Nelson, March 28, 2017.
Railroad: Penn Central.

Visitor Comments about this Photo:

Just a guess, but it looks like it could be the girder bridge on the former NH Fitchburg/Leominster branch that is adjacent to and south of the Mass Pike just east of the Route 9 exit. But then this would have to be a view from the north side of the railroad bridge, and I don't know if the body of water on the opposite side is big enough to be that spot

The Agriculture Branch girder bridge that parallels the Pike spans the north end of Foss Reservoir, bigger body of water than is shown here. Plus that Ag Br bridge's abutments supported two tracks. Having said that, the Tenneco Plastics ACF cylindrical covered hopper could be headed to Northborough/Leominster. Could this be the B&A Saxonville branch bridge over the Sudbury River?

Agree with your update. Here's a view of BCLR #1061, traveling in the same direction, shot from the other side of the bridge.
