Excursion Train At Torrington, Conn.A MBRRE chartered excursion train is seen chuggin' northbound through Torrington, Conn. via the Naugatuck Railroad on Saturday, April 29, 2017. The train ran from Thomaston to Waterbury in the AM; Then Thomaston to Torrington in the PM. The train seen here is powered by a U23B locomotive leading with a NH paint FL9 trailing at the end of the train. This is very rare mileage. Last time I saw a passenger train in Torrington was back in 1997-1998. (There may have been a few since then). Today's train was packed with riders. Several photo-run-bys were done along the route.
