South Portland, ME

Looking south (railroad west) from route 1 bridge at Rigby Yard. One of the best laid out flat switching yards in the northeast had typical layout of main track between east and westbound yards. With the advent of no passenger trains using the mains they became used as receiving and/or departure tracks. Some of the new searchlight dwarf signals are in place but not in service yet. Pipe connected switch and signals are still in use.
