New England Central @ Millers Falls, Ma.

After I decided to throw in the towel at Wachusett and go home I get a phone call from Ray Nahkala about a "Rail Train" coming into Greenfield. I decide to head out to Millers Falls and maybe catch it on the wye. Didn't get the "Rail Train" but got this instead. Beggars can't be choosers!

Visitor Comments about this Photo:

Excellent photo! Question: Central Vermont had 10 "light" 2-10-4 locomotives that weighed 419,000 pounds that weren't permitted to operate south of Brattleboro. Was this bridge one of the reasons why that was so? These three SD40 types aren't lightweights, each weighing in at 368K pounds, give or take.
