B&M 330 on "True" Northern Trackage

With a long (by these standards) 31 car local train, the NA-1 crew started the runaround chores by shoving 5 empty centerbeam cars onto the active remains of the Northern's trackage. The White Mountain Branch tracks that go up to Lincoln are to the right. This location is where Storrs Street in Concord curves up to Main Street. Seeing a train on these tracks is a true rarity, even if it was for a few minutes. The crew would do four more runarounds before heading south. For those keeping score, there were 20 loaded Ciment Quebec cars, 6 empty centerbeam cars, and 5 loaded gondola cars.. In short, this was a very lengthy train for "These New Hampshire Rails". Hard to believe this area was once a huge rail yard at one time.

Let's hope we see more long trains like this in Concord!
