First Train South of Cook Street

A Pan Am Railways stone train is seen backing down the Adams Branch just past Cook Street at Adams, Mass. on Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2017. This was the very first train to pass south of Cook Street on the Adams Branch extension project for the Hoosac Valley Service train rides. The last of the rails were laid down to Hoosac Street -the end of the line - on Monday, Oct. 2, 2017. The track was extended by MassDOT to allow the HVS to expand their rides and reach their new station terminal in the center of Adams.
