MBTA dump car

I always found the MBTA's early 20th century work cars fascinating, but it was hard to catch them out on the line since they usually worked overnight. Side dump car 3626, used to haul ballast, dirt, and debris in track maintenance, was built in 1925. In this photo it was parked on the stub track at Blandford Street on Commonwealth Avenue. Today it's at the Seashore Trolley Museum.
