Well-worn E-unit

The bedraggled-looking and unlettered Amtrak E8 at the head of this Washington-bound corridor train departing Back Bay station appears to have been punched in the face. F40 replacements were still a couple years away.

You can't blame Amtrak for not wanting to tell the world that they own this. It would have been nice to have all 3 digits displayed in the number board on both sides, though. It is hard to tell from this angle, but the number in the far number boarad and the number on the rear side of the unit both look to read '303'
