With Housatonic Railroad Co. EMD GP35M 3600 and GP35 3604 heading up the twelve car train out of New Milford, CT, road job NX-12 climbs past the Great Falls of the Housatonic River and the hydro-electric dam and it's powerhouse in Falls Village, CT. In mere minutes, the short train would arrive back at Canaan, pick up loads of lime, and then tie down. NX-13 would take the train north out of Canaan to interchange with CSX Transportation at Pittsfield, MA.
