That could be me in the cab window! I was a guest fireman with Nelson as my engineer. Sam Pinsley did not control the brush on the ROW and the growth rubbed against the sides of the cars. At one point we had cows on the track and Nelson chased them until the came to a small deck girder bridge where they stopped and we almost hit them. I managed to cook pancakes and hot dogs on the shovel. Clyde, the Master Mechanic, and "Panther Pete" an ex-CV engineer were often in the cab. Fred Richardson was also around.
