East New London

The once-busy Central Vermont terminal known to the railroad as East New London was long the southernmost point on the vast Canadian National system. A CV GP9 peered across the turntable there on a summer day back in 1978. Forty years later in 2018 there is no longer a trace of the turntable or roundhouse and what's left of the yard is usually empty.

Photographed by Tom Nelligan, August, 1978.
Added to the photo archive by Tom Nelligan, June 13, 2018.
Railroad: Central Vermont.
