MEC 353 (GP40) sits on track 1 at Gardner while it waits for a track car to clear the main ahead so the dispatcher can give F!-1 a signal that will allow it to proceed home to Fitchburg. The paint on MEC has worn well over the years since this paint scheme was replaced by blue PanAm paint and still looks very good.
