BM 6302 RDC-3 now part of the MBTA north side commuter fleet. Four of this model with 15 ft RPO sections were purchased for use on routes where RPO contracts were still in place such as the Conway and Berlin Branches (as well as other routes). When the B&M wanted to replace conventional equipment on the NH Route with run-through on the CV to Montreal, they purchased RDC-3's with 30 ft RPO sections. After a short trial period, the CV went back to conventional equipment and shortly after that, the mail contracts were terminated....
