Unusual Afternoon in West Kingston RI - No 2 - Trains 2158 & 2171

Moments after I shot this photo of trains 2158 (Acela 2034) and 2171 (Acela 2006 on the rear, 2037 leading), both were stopped for a moment while 2171 dropped off the relief engineer needed to operate train 2158 on to Boston. The dispatcher had held 2158 at Kingston once he determined that its engineer did not have enough time to reach Providence with the 12 hours allowed by the hours-of-service law. 2171 stopped too far west for me to get a photo of both trains stopped, but for a rare moment Kingston, with no Acela runs scheduled to stop here, had 2 of them stopped at its platforms.
