Penn Central train MN-1 gets underway out of New London, CT, with Central Vermont interchange cars destined for sorting at Cedar Hill Yard in New Haven. A pair of U25Bs are on the point of this train that originated here with cars off the CV that were bound for points on the former NH.

That's Ted Clement, the crossing tender, a long-time New Haven man.. Had many chats with him when I was assigned to a submarine at the nearby Submarine Base.
