deluxe accomodationsPerhaps symbolizing the state of US rail commuter service before the publicly funded revival that began in the late 1970s, the collapsing building in this photo was an active station. It's Silver Hill in Weston, MA, and I rather doubt anyone actually waited inside. A solo RDC typical of the Boston & Maine's midday runs between Boston and South Acton, MA, stopped there on a summer afternoon. A modest but somewhat more appealing shelter stands there today.
