A Conrail SW1500 crosses the Fort Point Channel drawbridge with cars for what's left of rail freight business in South Boston. This job originated at Beacon Park and backed into South Station to change ends since the current wye track enabling a west-to-south connection had not yet been built.

Photographed by Tom Nelligan, July, 1984.
Added to the photo archive by Tom Nelligan, January 13, 2019.
Railroad: Conrail.
