Conrail historical oddityIn the mid-1980s a group of Conrail hoppers used in company ballast service were relettered for the Boston & Albany, which had been formally merged into the NYC in the early 1960s. This "B&A" hopper was in a string at Cedar Hill Yard in New Haven, CT.
