BN-1 Charges Through East Greenwich

Here BN-1 led by former NH Alco Century #2457 followed by an ex-NH U25B, GP-9 and RS-3 lean into the curve at East Greenwich, RI station. Cedar Hill time freights were still gracing the Shore Line between passenger trains and would continue to do so until the Maybrook line via Poughkeepsie was put out of service by a bridge fire in 1974.

Photographed by Ron DeFilippo, December, 1969.
