Awaiting Disposition

Rows of Harvard-Ashmont Cambridge-Dorchester Tunnel cars await disposition in South Boston. These 69-feet-long,43 ton 0700 series cars were all of similar design to the original cars that began service in 1912. They were taken out of service in 1963 upon arrival of the Pullman-Standard 1400 series cars.

Photographed by Ron DeFilippo, August, 1969.
