E-L on B&M

Engineer waves as Erie-Lackawanna single SD-45 #3617 proves its mettle opening up on the Fitchburg main at Milepost 6 in Belmont, MA. For a small window of time the B&M and E_L were pooling power on the pig trains, this one being PB-W. One unit must have been sufficient on this day. Maybe they were adding power down the line?

Wonder if EL SD45s were the first six axle power to operate into Boston on the B&M?
