NECR slowly rolls toward downtown Three Rivers

NECR 611 is powered by 3 former Southern Pacific SD40 variants, two 50+ year old SD40 rebuilds, including one with an SD45 long hood, surrounding a comparative youngster, a 39 year old SD40T-2 tunnel motor. Consist has quite a few empty bulk head flats perhaps heading back to Canada to be reloaded with lumber and building supplies.

Wonder if that signal is an approach signal for Palmer, maybe similar to the yellow signals on the southern approach to the CC Canal lift bridge?

I think it is a fixed aspect distant signal reminding the crew of a southbound train that it will have to stop prior to crossing the CSX mainline and get permission to roll over the diamond to NECR's yard.
