A RRE special headed by GP-9 #1209 pauses at the fascinating, former New York and New England, depot at Blackstone, MA. Love those train order boards. The train was ultimately headed to Southbridge, MA and points between and beyond.

The 1209 had a summer vacation in Woods Hole at about this time, spending the warm months shuttling the Woods Hole sections of Day Cape Codder and Neptune back and forth to Buzzards Bay. Good duty.
