Near Albany, NY. From what I understand, this is the First Diesel/Electric locomotive made in the U.S.
Should be in a museum, Rusting away with the Conrail U-Boat....

This looks like one of the ex-NYC S-Class electric locomotives used on the third-rail main line from Grand Central Terminal to Croton-Harmon.
