Franklin, MA 1979

NH Budd being used as Push-Pull. New F-40 on the "head" end.
This is a very short time period where the "T" rebuilt train stations in 1979, and installed a second track (new one is the one the train is on). Franklin had not had a double track in front of the station since the 1940's? But it was quickly removed in less that 10 years and now back to 1 track (the one on the right)

Thanks for sharing the Franklin pictures Ron! I wonder if the new double tracking project underway now will also include the station again?
